the opposing team MUST be present). You must turn in the sheet
that has been filled out to get credit for individual games. The
forfeiting team will receive zero points. If a team forfeits twice during
the season, the team will be barred for the rest of the season. You may
use the dart banquet night as a make-up night, but we STRONGLY
suggest you play a double match the next time you meet. The Board of
Directors must know of any rescheduled or forfeited matches. If you are
having trouble rescheduling the Board of Directors will invoke Article 7
section A.
-
The match reports MUST be filled
out completely and correctly. NO DRAWINGS OF ANY KIND will
be allowed (subject to point(s) dedutions). The home team captain is
responsible for top line of match reports: DATE, DIVISION and WEEK#. Each
captain is responsible for their team’s name on their side of the match
report. The home team captain is responsible for maintaining the match
report throughout the course of the night (points will be deducted from
the home team for any violations of this section).
-
All players’ spots must be filled in with
a rostered player’s name. AT NO TIME SHOULD A NON ROSTERED
PLAYER (a player that was not on the final roster, a player that is
on the final roster but has not yet payed player fees in full, or a player
added to the team without the permission from the Board of Directors after
final roster turn in). Player will be listed on website.
-
Substitutions are filled in by placing
the substitution initials in parenthesis next to the original player’s
name. Example: Joe Player (T.P.). If the substitute plays, fill in the
complete substitute player’s name. Example: Joe Player (T.P.) Tom Player.
Please line through the player who is not playing. When this is
seen the statistician will know that the substitute has played and will
receive the points for the matches that he/she has actually played.
-
Emergency substitutions – If a player is
not present to play their game (due to a legitimate emergency situation),
any rostered player not already playing that game may fill in even though
their initials are not already written in.
See Article 4 Section A for further info on this topic.
-
It is the captains responsibility to pass
along all communications that he/she receives (stats, notables, banquet
information, etc.). Failure to relay information subject to point
deductions.
-
The captains are responsible for smooth
running of the match.
-
Both captains must sign and return the
match report, even if the match is protested, postponed (write date
postponed on it), or forfeited. Board of Directors must be notified of any
protested, postponed or forfeited matches within 24 hours.
-
Match reports are turned in at
the RG’S, and American Legion (Haverhill) after the match is
completed or by 5:00pm on Wednesday. Failure to do so will result in
point(s) deduction(s). Match reports can be emailed to
match@haverhilldarts.com
, scanned in JPEG format.
-
Captains must settle any dispute in
private conference. If the match is protested the HDL must receive written
notice of protest within 24 hours of the conclusion of the match. Write
PROTEST on the match report. You cannot decide to protest after the match
has been played. The opposing captain has the right to know.
-
A captain, cocaptain or any one
rostered player will be responsible to attend any meeting requested by the
Board of Directors to represent their team.
ARTICLE 3 - TEAM PROFILE
-
A team roster shall consist of a minimum
of 6 players and a maximum of 9 players if so desired can compete in a
match.
-
Rosters may be changed or added to until
the third week of the season, subject to Board of Directors approval and
the added player(s) pays their player fees in full before playing any
game. Violation of this rule will result in the deduction of points for
the games that the unrostered player has played. The team is also subject
to point deductions.
-
Once you play for a team (have been put
on a roster and thrown darts for that team) you may not switch to another
team or division.
ARTICLE 4 - MATCH PROFILE
-
All rostered members of a team can be
used in any order or spot on their teams match report. No player can shoot
twice in any one game (i.e. two 601’s, two Crickets, or two 301’s).
-
The match report will be filled out by
the teams captain or cocaptain, filled out in the blind (NO
PEEKING).
-
The submitted line up will be the playing
order for that match.
-
The match report will consist of the
following order of play:
2 games of 601, three person teams, double in
double out. Each win gets 1 team point and 1 individual point.
3 games of Cricket, two person teams. Each
win gets 1 team point and 2 individual points
6 individual games of 301, 2 games out of 3,
double in double out. Each win gets 1 team point and 4 individual
points.
Each match has a total of 11 points, and the
division standings will be based on the total points scored by the team
-
The Cricket games will consist of 2
out of 3 games.
-
The visiting team starts the first 601
the first Cricket and the first 301. The match report has an asterisk next
to the team or person who has the option to throw for the cork.
-
ALL GAMES WILL START WITH A
CORK-THROW. If a tie occurs, rethrow; reverse the order
of shooters. NOTE – Neither the scorekeeper nor player shall touch a dart
while judging a cork-throw. If a dart bounces out of the board, it may be
rethrown. If the next dart knocks it out it may not be rethrown. A
bullseye (double cork) can be pulled out be the throwers descretion.
Double bull beats a single bull.
-
Cricket & 301 - The loser of the
first leg has option to cork for the second leg. If a third leg is
necessary a coin toss decides who throws for cork first. The visiting team
has the option to call the coin toss first. The winner of the coin toss
has the option to throw first at the cork.
ARTICLE 5 - SCORING AND SCOREKEEPING
-
The scorekeeper for first game should be
from the home team .The second game would be scored by the visiting team.
The remainder of the match will be scored using this rotation. Players
only through his/her team captain, and for a good reason may make a change
of the scorekeeper.
-
The scorekeeper shall remain
still and quiet at all times while scoring unless asked to
verify a dart or score. No leaning in to see unless asked to check.
-
The scorekeeper will announce the score
and the player will verify it. The darts must remain in the board until
the score is agreed upon.
-
Any changes to the score must be
corrected while no one is shooting and in the following order :
601 and 301 games – the score must be changed
before the team with the error shoots again. (I shoot, mistake made, you
shoot, score is corrected, and I shoot now). Correcting of the score is not
going to change any strategy.
Cricket - the score must be corrected before
the very next shooter (I shoot, number isnt marked closed, correct the score,
next player shoots). Because if the number shows open and the next person
scores on it, and then you try to change it. Just doesn’t work. It will change
the strategy to the score after the next person shoots.
Errors in the scoring column can be changed
when they are noticed. Score keeper will call time out.
-
The scorekeeper can only tell the player
what the score is or what has been scored. The proper way is to write the
score and the remainder. At no time will the scorekeeper tell any shooter
what to shoot for.
-
The player is responsible for throwing at
the right number (i.e. the scorekeeper says 30 and you think he says
13).
-
All scoring of 301 and 601 games should
show the score for each turn and the remainder.
-
All-star points will be gained from
scores of 100 or better in 601 and 301 games. All points must count, busts
do not count. They will be written as 100, 140, etc. not T00, T40 on match
report. Violation of this rule will result in lost point(s).
-
Cricket rounds of 6 or better count as
well as 4 or more cores. Rounds of nine all triples must count. If the
opposing team has their 20’s closed and you have only one, you hit a
triple 20, triple 19, triple 18 that would be a round of 8 because you
only needed two 20’s.
-
High on and high outs scores are 100 or
better. It must either tie or beat the existing high on or high
out.
-
Third game notables do not count
towards all-star points but however 180, high on, high outs, and round or
nines, and round of 6 corks, count for trophy’s. That is why they are
written as 1803G, R093G, etc. on match reports. Third game tons and rounds
do not count towards HOT HANDS.
-
Enter all notables on the match report,
as they occur, not at the end of the night. The report will not be changed
once it is turned in.
-
At no time during the match
should any person other then the scorekeeper be beyond the throwing line.
This also includes sitting at tables in the shooters peripheral vision. If
this is a problem with the shooter the table will be
moved.
ARTICLE 6 – PLAYOFFS
A. Playoffs will be played on Tuesday and
Thursday nights. Board of directors may from time to time need to adjust
this rule due to holidays. Start time is 7:30
PM
-
In the first round of playoffs
1st place plays 4th place, 2nd place
plays 3rd place. 1st and 2nd place
Captains have an option to play home or away on the first of the two
nights unless there is a conflict (i.e. too many teams at home without
enough dart boards or over crowding). Captains will be notified of the
location they will be playing at (SEE ARTICLE 7 SECTIONS A &
I).
-
For final playoff rounds the HDL will
notify captains where they will be playing (SEE ARTICLE 7)
D. Playoffs will consist of a race to twelve
games won. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be played. The tie
Breaker will consist of one game of 601, one
game of cricket (best two out of 3), and one
Game of 301 (best two out of 3). AT
NO TIME IS ANY ONE PLAYER TO PLAY IN MORE THAN ONE OF
THESE GAMES. I.E. IF YOU PLAY 601
YOU CAN NOT PLAY ANY OF THE OTHER GAMES DURING A
TIE BREAKER.
